Yano Simulator v0.3.0: Build More Realistic Models, Work More Smoothly
Yano Simulator v0.3.0 is here. This release takes hybrid and discrete-event modeling further, while making everyday work—from writing equations to exploring results—feel more direct and responsive.
Bring more of your model into one workspace
Build hybrid models with system dynamics, agents, and discrete events working together. Configure event-driven flows, queues, resources, entity services, and routing on the canvas, then use Agent Module statecharts to represent states, transitions, and targeted messages.
For more detailed process models, services can respond to entity conditions, update fields during service, and use expressions for capacity and duration. Cycle-time data is ready to explore in familiar plots and tables.
Spend less time wrestling with equations and results
A new floating Equation editor provides live completions and a shared draft, with an element grid for array equations. New functions—including NAN, ISNAN, and TIMETOTARGET—make it easier to represent missing values and analyze when a stock reaches a goal. Random distributions now support output bounds and sampling intervals.
Plot families let you keep related views together and move between them easily. Tables add clearer shading, adjustable row heights, and interactive highlights. Dynamics Exploration adds array operations and more intuitive time-window controls.
A more comfortable modeling experience
Zoom controls, snapping guides, and alignment commands make it easier to organize busy canvases and interface pages. Animated plot exports now include Agent Maps, Agent Networks, and other methodology views. Table values follow each variable’s number format.
The app also adds eight interface languages and a Mid-Autumn Festival skin. Across the app, localization, equation editing, project navigation, and plot interaction have been refined to make complex models easier to work with.
From stock-and-flow models to agent behavior and event-driven processes, v0.3.0 gives you more ways to represent the complex systems you care about—and a smoother way to explore what happens next.
